Bieber Announces Retirement; Complaints from Neighbors Prompt Pop Star to Move

On the heels of announcing that he plans to retire, pop star Justin Bieber, 19, is also apparently “fed up” with complaints from neighbors who want the singer to move.

Bieber, who lives in an exclusive gated community in Calabasas, Calif., Is packing his bags after neighbors continued to complain about his erratic behavior.

Neighbors, most of whom are families with children, complained that Bieber frequently hosts loud parties until 3 a.m.

They also claim the singer, whose documentary on his life, “Believer”, is currently in theaters, zooms around recklessly on his Ferrari or his motorbike at high speeds disturbing the normally peaceful community.

NFL player Keyshawn Johnson, who lives in the gated community with his wife and children, filed a case against “over speeding” against Bieber. The football player was especially concerned because children play in the area.

Neighbors also said they spotted Bieber smoking a joint in front of the neighborhood kids on Memorial Day.

“The Biebs” was also accused of threatening and almost attacking a neighbor and spitting on another after he was confronted about his behavior.

Prosecutors have not pressed charges because they claim there was no solid evidence against the pop star. Deputy District Attorney Alan Yochelson wrote that the singer’s behavior was ‘immature’ but showed no ‘criminal intent.’

“It’s gotten really nasty,” an anonymous source told the news media. “The community he lives in is all families and the entire community has had enough of his parties and speed racing.”

Apparently, Bieber’s mother feels that her son should move to the Hollywood Hills, where there are fewer families.

But Bieber may be turning a new—and more mature-leaf. During a recent interview with MTV, Bieber revealed that he wants to spend more time with his family.

“I’ve been away so much, I’ve missed a lot of great years with my brother and sister,” he said. “I want to get to know my family more,” and use 2014 to “figure out myself as a man.”

Bieber, who is worth $130 million, dropped the bombshell that he would be retiring on Christmas Eve. But observers say that the announcement might be a publicity stunt to promote his new documentary, “Believer.”

As for Bieber’s Calabasas digs, speculators say that the pop star will probably sell the home or rent it out.
