Continue reading …Sarah travelled extensively throughout Asia and Europe before returning to New Zealand to complete a Fine Arts degree at the Dunedin School of Art in 2000. After graduating Sarah was employed as a 3D animator by Animation Research Ltd and was the first artist to compliment a team of computer scientists - eventually taking on the role of creative director. In 2012 Sarah made the decision to become a full time artist.

I feel good about having paid enough attention to my surroundings and culture to be able to draw from it now. The music, the people, the food, the colors and the fabrics are so vibrant and vivid in my mind that I hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy them as much as I do.

Celebrating over twenty years at LACMA, the program continues to be one of the museum’s most recognizable offerings. Jazz at LACMA is a celebration of L.A.’s finest jazz musicians and has featured such legends as Wayne Shorter, John Clayton, Kenny Burrell, Les McCann, Billy Childs, Arturo Sandoval, Cannonball-Coltrane Project, and Ernie Watts. Over 42,000 visitors attend the program annually from April through November.
