Dan Richter’s debuted his Spring/ Summer 2016 line on Tuesday evening. The night was chilly and dark, much like his designs. Richter’s captured the essence of edge with his metallic color pallet.
Dan Richter’s show had the audience begging for more. The show consisted of shining metallic neoprene cocktail and evening dresses. It was unlike anything we have seen down a runway. Dan Richter’s collection adhered to the futuristic and edgy components that holds true for trends in 2016.
His collection was highly original and beyond compare. His collection resembled something “out of this world.” There were several embellished shoulders, necklines and style lines. Embellishments such as silver scales, spikes and studs. This only furthered the futuristic element.
We felt as though a time capsule took me through time and into the future. We couldn’t help but admire the cohesive fabrication and the inspiration throughout. It was consistent and most of all, aesthetically pleasing. There was a major trend this Fashion Week, in terms of beauty… the “wet hair” look. Dan Richter’s models looked wet which was provocative yet chic and further added to his aesthetic.
