“The Dia Diaries” ALTERNATIVE RESOLUTIONS
So we’re already in the second month of the year and like most people…you’ve broken some of your resolutions. No worries, we have a few resolutions that you can stick to for the rest of the year. We’re talking about fashion resolutions and your right to remain fabulous this year! We might not be palm readers but we can definitely read fashion and trends months ahead.
The Midi
After several trial and error sessions, the midi has finally been accepted in a broader spectrum of audience; appealing to both women and the younger contemporary markets. Slim styles, puffed or feature detailing like center slits and flared hems, we love how the single most important direction dresses and skirts are settling for is the Midi. Fuller A lines and fitted seams fall in place like a lost piece in a puzzle. We have heart shaped eyes now. YAY.
Texture v/s print
Tricky and challenging, 2016 is the year where the true test lies. Do you have the eye for detailing? The ability to match the texture with print and color while sticking to your signature style? The inextricable power of the eye and mind is inspired by the perplexity of fashion and the defiant society’s interest; and we can’t wait to see what street fashion scores against the world famous designer ready-to-wear collections.
Oversized clutch
Recreating a plethora of creative freedom and self-expression, this season, the over sized clutches have scaled up not only in size but also by popularity. The expansion allows more creativity for the silhouette, logo and space management. Cross body and backpacks move over, we have a new king in the jungle.
Blanket Scarf
There isn’t a more comfortable item in the fashion dictionary; unless of course we’re still counting track pants and pajamas. The blanket scarf is by far one of the most popular statement styles for fall and winter 2015-16. Available in variations like the graphic printed, customized initials and patchwork detailing, January 2016 winter hustle is definitely making a new fashion statement for us fashion lovers.
Oversized gems
Express your love and confidence through beautiful clusters or candy colored crystals not only on the finger but also in your day-to-day jewelry. Large colored gemstones mixed and matched to make plain blouses worth the stare.
